Officer in deadly shooting joined department 2 months earlier - WBAL-TV

Officer Christopher Birch of the Bel Air Police Department fatally shot 57-year-old Francisco Aparicio-Munoz during a traffic stop Saturday. Birch, who joined the department two months ago but has three years of law enforcement experience, is on administrative leave while the state Attorney General's Independent Investigations Division investigates. Video obtained by WBAL-TV shows police lights and an officer firing; body camera footage must be released within 20 business days.
