Pirates sign former Twins rookie for outfield depth

The Pittsburgh Pirates signed outfielder Kyler Fedko to a minor league contract after the Minnesota Twins removed him from their 40-man roster following an ACL tear, according to KDKA-TV. Fedko, a 2021 12th-round draft pick, made his MLB debut this season but went hitless in 19 plate appearances. He had a strong Triple-A campaign with a .274 average, 17 home runs and 10 stolen bases before suffering knee injuries in the outfield last month.
