Croatia's government has established a National Coordination Body for the Development of the Bioeconomy and launched preparation of a national plan covering 2027–2035 to coordinate economic activity across agriculture, forestry, fisheries, aquaculture, biotechnology and renewable energy sectors. The framework aims to increase added value from biological resources while supporting sustainable use and rural and coastal development. The coordination body, chaired by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, will integrate previously dispersed government policies across economy, finance, environment and science portfolios.
