Structure fire on Reeder Mesa Road contained, evacuation lifted

Firefighting crews from across the valley contained the Reeder Mesa Fire outside Whitewater on June 23, limiting the blaze to 10 acres after it actively burned multiple structures. A firefighting helicopter assisted ground crews by dropping water to create containment lines. The structure fire was contained within a few hours and evacuations were lifted.
