Norwich man found with ghost gun after allegedly fleeing Groton car crash: PD

A Norwich man was arrested after fleeing a car crash in Groton, Connecticut, on Saturday morning and being found in possession of a ghost gun. Elijah D. Britto-Sebastian, 21, was apprehended around 6:30 a.m. on Buddington Road after officers spotted him matching the description of the Audi driver who fled the scene on foot. Police recovered an AR-15-style rifle without a serial number from Britto-Sebastian, who is a felon on probation for firearms-related offenses.

The crash involving a black Audi Q3 and a Volkswagen Beetle occurred around 5:30 a.m. near Poquonnock and Laurelwood roads. Officers discovered signs of narcotics in the stolen Audi, which had been reported missing from Enfield on June 12 and bore false registration markers. Britto-Sebastian was held on a $500,000 court-set cash surety bond.
