Man jailed for two years for Sudbury drug offences

Suffolk Constabulary · October 20, 2026

Alexandre Alberto Santana Da Silva, 49, was sentenced to two years in prison at Ipswich Crown Court on October 15 after pleading guilty to supplying Class A drugs in Sudbury, Suffolk. Police arrested him on August 27 after finding drug-related messages on his mobile phone and £575 in cash. He will be deported following his release.

The court ordered forfeiture of the cash and destruction of mobile phones and SIM cards used in the drug operation. Suffolk Constabulary said the sentence reflects its commitment to prosecuting drug dealers who cause "significant harm to our communities."
