Welcome to 'Y'all Street,' the Dallas-based stock exchange hoping to compete with New York

A new stock exchange launched in Dallas this week as part of a phased rollout, positioning itself to compete with major New York exchanges like the NYSE and NASDAQ. The Texas Stock Exchange will initially focus on companies in the Southeast and Texas, capitalizing on the region's concentration of more than 380,000 finance professionals—the largest outside New York. The exchange plans to locate its trading center at the Bank of America Parkside Tower in Uptown, creating an estimated 100 to 150 direct jobs while symbolizing Dallas's growing prominence in national finance.
