New technology might finally solve one of the greatest mysteries known to man — and Hollywood

Archeologist Chris McKinny of Lipscomb University's Lanier Center for Archeology believes modern technology could help locate the Lost Ark of the Covenant, which disappeared after the Babylonian sacking of Jerusalem in 586 BC. McKinny theorizes the artifact may be buried beneath the City of David, south of the Dome of the Rock, based on biblical texts and historical study. His research is featured in the streaming documentary "Legends of the Lost Ark," which explores theories about the Ark's possible locations and the role of the prophet Jeremiah in hiding it from invaders.
