Bridgeport teen, father charged in connection with double shooting on Grove Street

A 14-year-old Bridgeport resident and his father, Damien Mullins, 46, were arrested Thursday in connection with a double shooting on Grove Street that wounded two Stratford teenagers. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 4 p.m. and found an 18-year-old and 16-year-old with non-life-threatening lower extremity injuries. The juvenile was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, first-degree reckless endangerment, and unlawful discharge of a firearm; Mullins was charged with tampering with evidence and held on $25,000 bond. Police said the shooting was not random and the investigation remains ongoing.
