Geely Auto Group unveiled Geely Smart Charging, an AI-powered vehicle charging technology claiming 2.2-megawatt peak output per connector, on September 23 in Munich. The system, powered by the Xingrui PowerMind foundation model developed with StepFun, uses artificial intelligence to predict battery temperature changes and adjust charging power dynamically, keeping temperatures below 65°C. Geely plans to deploy over 22,000 charging stations and 100,000 connectors across China by end-2027, with first vehicle owners receiving RMB 2,000 in charging credits and extended battery warranties through 2028.
