President Donald Trump will award the National Medal of Science to Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Sergey Brin, Lisa Su, Michael Dell and Satya Nadella at an October 8 summit titled "Science: A New Golden Age." The awards underscore Trump's alignment with Silicon Valley leadership and his preference for industry self-regulation over federal AI safety rules. The event will also feature a $100 million compute-credit donation.
