Luzerne County Community College's Surgical Technology program graduated its Class of 2026 on Aug. 7 in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. The graduates completed rigorous training in sterile technique, surgical instrumentation and critical decision-making to prepare for roles as surgical technologists in operating rooms.
Program director Sondra Ferraro emphasized that graduates embody the discipline, teamwork and attention to detail essential to patient care, having mastered both the science of surgery and the ability to anticipate surgeons' needs.
