OSTP Director Releases Landmark Report and Recommendations for Renewing American Scientific Discovery

WASHINGTON — White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Director Michael Kratsios released "Science: A New Golden Age," a comprehensive report recommending reforms to revitalize U.S. research and development, the first major rethinking of the American science enterprise in over 80 years. The report, accompanied by a fiscal year 2028 budget directive from Kratsios and OMB Director Russ Vought, calls for federal agencies to submit implementation plans within 90 days across four key priority areas to position the U.S. to lead in AI-driven scientific advancement.
