Empire State Building daredevil couple arraigned, court hears they did it all for love

A couple was arraigned Thursday in Manhattan Criminal Court after scaling the Empire State Building's antenna Wednesday to propose marriage. Angelina Nikolau, 33, and Ivan Kuznetsov, 32, were charged with burglary, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and criminal tampering after breaking through a security door on the 104th floor and climbing the 1,454-foot spire. Prosecutors said the stunt endangered the couple, the public and emergency responders who had to approach them on the high-frequency radio antenna; the couple was released on supervised release pending trial.
